Fenway Park is the oldest park in baseball and was the last park in the Eastern Time Zone that I had not visited. Globe Life Park opened in 1994, a scant six years prior to Minute Main Park. During those six years the art of building ballparks advanced, and you can definitely tell when you compare the two parks. I was not impressed.

My ballpark tour resumed in May 2016 with my first visit to Texas since I was in the third grade. The itinerary had me arriving Houston for an Astros game before leading to Austin to visit my friend E, San Antonio for The Alamo and ultimately Arlington for a Rangers game.

The second baseball stop in my 2015 Southwestern Baseball Road Trip was Phoenix, where my fraternity brother Patrick and I caught the Arizona Diamondbacks in Chase Field.
